With its 5-inch dia., mandrel-bent tubing that improves exhaust airflow, you’ll get a louder, rounder exhaust growl. In addition to a bigger sound, this kit also increases your truck’s horsepower and torque output and lowers exhaust gas temperatures.
Big Boosts in Horsepower and Torque. This exhaust system can increase airflow by up to 29% and reduce turbulence, thanks to the large mandrel-bent tubes with smooth and consistent curves. A mitered merge collector further reduces turbulence by eliminating dead space. The increase in airflow and decrease in turbulence results in lower EGTs and considerable boosts in horsepower and torque.
Constructed From Aluminized Steel. For top-notch strength and incredible heat and corrosion resistance, AFE used aluminized steel to construct this exhaust system. Moreover, all the attachment points are MIG-welded by hand for extra strength and the tubes are mandrel-bent for smooth and consistent transition curves. The 6-inch dia. exhaust tip, on the other hand, has intercooling vents to help reduce exhaust gas temperatures.
Polished Surface Finish. This exhaust system has a polished surface finish, giving it an attractive shine and a smooth exterior. Polishing the steel also eliminates top-layer impurities that can speed up natural wear and tear. The slash-cut exhaust tip is also polished to give it a nice sheen. A laser-cut black powder-coated steel AFE logo is riveted on the side for a unique rugged look.
Hassle-Free Installation. Aside from minor cuts behind the DPF unit, this exhaust system can be directly bolted on to your truck using the OE mounting points. Complete installation can take approximately 2 hours.
