Race Bred. Quite possibly the single best upgrade you can do to your Chevrolet Silverado 1500 truck is to upgrade the exhaust system. Opening up the exhaust has all sorts of benefits, not least of which is increased horsepower and torque. The American Racing Headers 1-7/8 in. Long Tube Headers w/ Catted Y-Pipe are an excellent choice because they have proven themselves in racing situations and are now ready for your rig. They are 100% made in the USA and designed to give you great sound and performance. Bolt a set on and see for yourself.
Durable and Performance Driven. These race-bred headers are made completely out of 304 stainless steel that resists corrosion and rust. The flanges are heavy duty 3/8″ thick, laser-cut steel that will resist warping and thus leaking which will rob you of power. The 1-7/8″ primaries have been optimized for flow and collect into merge collectors with welded scavenger spikes to increase exhaust flow out to the 3″ pipe. All of this flows through optimized 200 cell metallic substrate cats that have been designed for increased flow and long life.
Installation Notes. This is a bolt on system and a basic set of mechanic’s tools should do the trick. Be aware that your existing system may require some cutting in order to remove it.
