The AMS Performance Red Alpha Lower Downpipes deliver a full 3″ mandrel-bent stainless steel exhaust path engineered specifically for the VR30DDTT twin-turbo platform found in the Infiniti Q50, Q60, and 2023+ Nissan Z. Designed to eliminate back pressure from the factory restrictive lower section, these downpipes unlock measurable power and torque gains across the entire RPM range while dramatically improving twin-turbo spool response.
AMS engineers 3D-modeled and test-fit every bend in SolidWorks before 3D printing prototypes to verify OEM-level clearance and installation accuracy. The result is a bolt-on fitment with no trimming, clocking issues, or adaptation required. Heavy-gauge stainless steel construction retains exhaust heat within the pipe to maintain gas velocity, while threaded O2 sensor bungs accept your factory sensors — keeping the dash CEL-free when paired with a proper tune. The lower downpipes are over 62% lighter than the OEM units, reducing unsprung exhaust mass while improving flow.
At wide-open throttle, the VR30 Red Alpha Lower Downpipes produce a deep, aggressive exhaust character that stays refined and subdued at idle and cruise — a proper dual-purpose sound profile for street and track use. An included 2.5″ to 3.0″ adapter ensures compatibility with both the factory catback and most aftermarket 3″ systems.
