Description

The Eventuri BMW G05 X5 / G06 X6 / G07 X7 M50i Black Carbon Intake System represents a complete redesign of the factory intake architecture, engineered to improve airflow efficiency and reduce intake air temperatures for the N63-powered M50i platform. Inspired by development work on the X5M intake, this system addresses the inherent restriction in the OEM airboxes which force airflow through a sharp 180-degree turn before reaching the turbo inlets, utilizing a direct airflow approach that optimizes the path from ambient air to the twin turbochargers.

Eventuri’s solution introduces an additional cold air feed from the scuttle panel, creating a more direct and higher-volume airflow path that allows the turbochargers to operate with reduced resistance. By increasing the available intake volume and optimizing the internal geometry of the patented Venturi housings, the system delivers improved throttle response, stronger mid-range performance, and consistently lower intake air temperatures during sustained operation.

Constructed entirely from prepreg carbon fiber and supported by CNC-machined brackets, EPDM rear air feeds, and high-quality silicone couplers, the system delivers OEM-level fitment while providing significant thermal management advantages. The larger carbon housings required a redesigned carbon fiber engine cover that integrates seamlessly into the engine bay while allowing heat to escape rather than being absorbed into the intake system, addressing the critical relationship between heat management and intake volume for consistent turbocharged performance.

The fully sealed design ensures a constant supply of ambient air and minimizes heat soak during repeated acceleration, while the patented Venturi housing technology creates smooth airflow transitions from the oversized filter elements to the turbo inlets.
