There is no metal on metal contact under the hood since the shield features soft bumpers. The intake has strengthened silicone couplers and durable black anodized fittings.
Washable Filter Element. This intake has a washable air filter element. It is a high-flow 8 layer conical shaped filter. The filter is engineered for lifetime serviceability. The steel heat shield has a durable black powder coating.
