This is due to its positive crankcase ventilator or PCV valving system which, while beneficial, does carry the drawback of inadvertently including vaporized oil into your intake when it vents back crankcase pressure into your intake. The J&L V3.0 Driver Side Satin Oil Separator solves this issue by trapping the oil vapors and safely collecting it in its included catch can, away from your engine’s intake.
Advanced Design. The J&L V3.0 Driver Side Satin Oil Separator manages oil separation by utilizing a specialized filtration system that uses an aluminum honeycomb filter and a stainless steel mesh. This filtering system traps these oil vapors, and condenses it back to its liquid form, where it collects in a catch can until it’s time to be emptied. This catch can’s 3-ounce capacity is good for about 3,000 miles before being emptied.
Sturdy Aluminum Build Quality. The J&L V3.0 Driver Side Black Oil Separator is CNC-milled from billet aluminum for optimal strength minus the weight. A rubber O-ring provides a proper seal eliminating leaks. The base of the catch can is knurled making it easy to open even when oily. Lastly, this oil separator receives a natural satin finish for a nice look when installed.
Easy, No-Mod Installation. The J&L V3.0 Driver Side Black Oil Separator is designed as a direct install assembly that doesn’t require any modifications. This oil separator includes hoses that use a push-lock system that doesn’t need any clamps to install. Also, standard hand tools are all you need installation.
