Recommended Upgrade. Please keep in mind that when changing the gear ratio of your Silverado 1500’s differential, the calibration of your speedometer will no longer be precise and will display the incorrect speed. This can be easily fixed with a Handheld Tuner, which is sold separately.
Professional Installation Recommended. Installing Differential Ring and Pinion Gears can be a painstaking and intricate process. As such, professional help or mechanical experience is highly recommended. Follow the included step-by-step instructions for best results.

Application. The 2.73 ratio Motive Gear Rear Ring and Pinion Gear set will fit all 2007 to 2013 Silverado 1500 models equipped with either an 8.5″ or 8.6″ (10 bolt) independent front suspension differential. A master bearing kit is recommended by most installers, especially on high mileage vehicles.
Please Note. If you are unsure if your Silverado 1500 has an 8.5″/8.6″ (10 bolt) differential, please check with your local General Motors dealer to determine what gear is in your truck.
Technical Note. Ring and Pinion gear set installation costs may vary, but a good rule of thumb is between $250 and $300. Choose a reliable shop that you trust for installation.
