Improved Engine Efficiency. The Polished Spectre Cold Air Intake is designed to improve the fuel economy and acceleration of your 2009 GMC Sierra 1500 6.0L engine, excluding the Hybrid model. This is due to its low-restriction, red air filter and other quality features. The new CAI simultaneously protects the engine from potentially harmful dirt and debris.
Improve Air Flow. The air intake from Spectre is a definite step up from the restrictive factory air filter and air box system that it replaces under the hood. Spectre has constructed the CAI to be high-flow, meaning it provides smoother, straighter air than what was previously under the hood, and more of the air too, for an increase in usable power across your engine’s entire rpm range.
Quality Construction. The Spectre Cold Air Intake’s polished aluminum tube is built durable and strong. The air filter and heat shield, both of which come in the kit, are also high-quality. The system, with its black filter end cap and black sleeve, looks great once bolted easily in place under the hood in place of the factory air box and filter.
Application. The Polished Spectre Cold Air Intake fits 2009 GMC Sierra 1500s with 6.0L engines, excluding the Hybrid model, and it has California EO approved emissions (CARB EO Number D-629-12).
