Heavy Grade Cast Iron Rotors. This kit’s included rotors start as premium high carbon iron blended with molybdenum, improving its strength. This iron compound is then subjected to a specialized casting process engineered to improve tensile strength and hardness. The resulting rotor blanks are then machined to tight tolerances for an accurate fit. Finally, the rotor sides vanes and hat are treated to a black e-coating designed to deliver outstanding corrosion protection and an eye-catching style.
Vented, Drilled, and Slotted Rotor Style. The included rotors feature internal vents designed to work together with the drilled holes to efficiently cool the brakes. Furthermore, the rotor face is precision-machined with slots designed to sweep away brake dust, gasses, and moisture to maintain exceptional brake pad to rotor contact. These factors work together to deliver superior bite and stopping power.
Street Series Brake Pads. The brake pads included with this kit are the street series pads. These pads utilize a specially formulated braking compound and feature a wider surface area compared to stock. This design works to improve braking power and pedal feel.
Low Dust and Reduced Noise. Besides providing optimum braking, these pads’ friction compound is also engineered to produce much less brake dust when compared to the factory pads. These pads also feature OE chamfered and slotted design to reduce noise.
Straightforward Install Procedure. These front and rear brake rotors and pads are designed to replace your truck’s stock counterparts without the need for modifications to your braking system. Some specialty tools like a caliper tool may be helpful to ensure an efficient installation. You may also need a bottle or two of DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid and high-temperature brake pad lubricant.
