Performance Upgrade. The 3.5L EcoBoost F-150 is equipped with a 2.5bar (21.5psi) MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) Sensor which is perfectly fine if you don’t plan on upgrading the performance of your turbocharged Pony. But if you have a larger turbocharger, water-methanol or nitrous injection planned for the future you will need a 3BAR (28.8psi) MAP Sensor to accurately measure boost pressure for proper performance.
Genuine Ford Part. This genuine OEM Ford 3BAR Sensor is the same exact sensor that is featured as standard factory equipment on 3.5L DOHC Ecoboost Ford vehicles, making it the perfect performance upgrade for your F-150.
